The Lexington Psychoanalytic Study Group is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization affiliated with the American Psychoanalytic Association (www.apsa.org).  This group seeks to bring members across various clinical and academic disciplines together who are interested in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapies.  It was formed by Virginia Blum, Ph.D. (Professor of English, University of Kentucky (UK)), Debra Katz, M.D. (psychiatrist/psychoanalyst in private practice and faculty member, UK Center on Trauma and Children) and Jeffrey Tuttle, M.D. (psychiatrist/psychoanalyst in private practice).   These members have pursued psychoanalytic training at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute and are excited to establish the first psychoanalytic professional group in Lexington.  We plan to have periodic presentations by local and national speakers as well as informal gatherings to meet each other and exchange ideas.  We hope you will join us!
